Lyrics

Trust And Faith
©Tom Eure / BMI

Questions swirl around the mysteries
Strip the beauty from the history
A perfect storm erodes a sandy shore

Doubts arise and then take over
Someone stop this roller coaster
Emotions lead me to a darkened door

Praying for some clarity or peace with answers not for me to know
Why should I expect to know
God is great, God is good, let us thank him for what can’t be understood
For he gives love, he gives grace
So the least I can offer is my Trust and Faith

Our broken souls can’t comprehend
All that is the Great I AM
Beyond existence we are asked to cling

Our hearts and minds in constant battle
In this life two worlds we straddle
Can theologians hear the angels sing

Praying for some clarity or peace with answers not for me to know
Why should I expect to know
God is great, God is good, let us thank him for what can’t be understood
For he gives love, he gives grace
So the least I can offer is my Trust and Faith

Society it beats the drum
Inviting each and everyone
To laugh at those Love gave no need for proof

Their new religion based on logic
Denying what’s perceived as cosmic
Why can’t mystery play a part in Truth

Praying for some clarity or peace with answers not for me to know
Why should I expect to know
God is great, God is good, let us thank him for what can’t be understood
For he gives love, he gives grace
So the least I can offer is my Trust and Faith
