Singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist, Tom Eure offers up a sound that’s steeped in roots and honesty. His music has taken him to top venues like The Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville, CBGB’s Gallery in New York City, as well as theaters and festivals throughout the Eastern U.S.. He has won over audiences opening for some of the best acts in the business, including James McMurtry, Chris Smither, Greg Trooper, and Tom’s musical hero, the late Warren Zevon.
Tom Eure, got his start in the music business in 1991 while living in the mountains of NC. During his time there Tom fell in love with folk and old time music, played solo shows, hosted open mics, and fronted bands ranging from psychedelic to pop rock. It was there he came to understand that he was meant for music and music was meant for him.
As a multi instrumentalist (he plays over 14 instruments) and producer, Tom is always pushing his musical boundaries, taking on every musical style and instrument that crosses his path. In addition to releasing four successful solo CDs, Tom has appeared on, recorded and or produced, over 32 CDs for Charlotte area acts, smoothly bouncing from one genre to the next. He spent seven years as the fiddle player for the Cajun band Carolina Gator Gumbo, and his Celtic duo Thistledown Tinkers continually wow audiences that just keep getting bigger and bigger.
Tom draws on his many musical influences to create a sound that defies clearly defined categories. His music is new yet familiar, risky yet comfortable, and has that rare ability to shine a light on the heart.
